In no particular order, here is a selection of five that I enjoyed reading this year. I look forward to another year of reading in 2022. Filled with recommendations (and gifts) from friends, family and colleagues. Have an enjoyable Christmas and Holidays, and a wonderful 2022.
The Psychology of Money – Morgan Housel
Eye opener. Short, sweet, simple. A well written, no jargon book. Interesting concepts around our behaviour and relationship towards money and wealth. Gained some interesting insights about my own attitude towards money in different situations. Will I go back to it again? Indeed.

Aroha – Dr Hinemoa Elder

A treasure. From the heart, to the heart. Filled with personal stories and wisdom. Aroha has appeared twice in my LinkedIn posts. One when I left Spark in August 2021, and one when I joined N4L in November 2021. It is one of those books that will always be at my bedside. Ka pai Dr Elder.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse – Charlie Mackay
Unusual. Life lessons. Something that can be shared. A story of friendships, relationships and life. My kids couldn’t stop laughing when they saw me reading this. What happened next was that we were talking. About the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. A win with a fourteen and nine year old. Priceless.

Cockpit Confidential – Patrick Smith

Brilliant indeed. I have always been fascinated with aircrafts. They are magnificient machines. This is straight from a pilot and blogger about planes, airports, security, safety and everything I wanted to know about air travel. Look forward to flying again (hopefully soon).
Think Again – Adam Grant
Insightful. We think a lot. A lot more than we need to. We don’t think about what we are thinking, and why. “Rethink” has been one of my themes this year. I am sure Adam Grant has a role to play in that.

P.S. Don’t judge me on the interesting choice of bookmarks! These are courtesy of my girls, and I leave them in the book after finishing.
